Does anyone have experience with the current Airtronics SD-10G radio?

Way back when, the Airtronics Vision 8 channel was the radio to have for sailplanes.

I've been flying with one for almost a year. What do you need to know?

Louis,
Thanks for your reply, as it appears, not too many folks use the SD-1OG. I acquired one not long ago, and was just curious if there were any issues, of which I should be aware. I'm planning to install it in a 4.5 meter Ventus 2cx. If I run into any problems, I'll PM you for help.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

Mark,

I am, using one for my 5M ASG29. If you bought the programming software with your radio I can send you a copy of my program via email.

See ya,

Thanks Pat. Right now, it's in a Cularis, so I can get familiar with the radio. Lot more switches and options than I have used in the past.

Mark,

I have been using the SD-10G for well over a year. I have flown Unlimited TD Competition, Giant Scale Sailplanes, Aerotug and 3D/sport planes with it.

The only issue I have is it is only ten channels. I could use two more channels.

The SD-10G has been rock solid even at extreme distances.

Thank you for you responses, I'm still in the basic area of understanding this radio. So far, so good!
