I am thinking about buying a Futaba 8 FG Super 2.4 transmitter.

After reading about this TX and looking at the 2 aileron and 4 flap profile for a large scale sailplane with spoilers and flaps, can I use this profile for 2 ail, 2 flap and 2 spoiler servo set up?

I would like to have 2 aileron servos, two flap servos operated by the left slider and 2 servos operated by the throttle (left) stick. Can this TX program be set up to control the ail, flaps and spoilers as I would like.

The program in this new Tx looks very straight forward. Do you agree?

The FG Super is Futaba's newest TX offering. It says it is a 14 channel Tx and only needs a 14 channel receiver to use all 14 channels. Is that correct?.

Should I buy this new 8 FG Super 2.4 TX or one of the older Futaba 2.4 TX's I considered the JR offerings but don't like their program.

I have the same radio and setup as you described. Very easy to apply any function to any switch.
There are a lot of built in functions for glider mixing as well. Beyond my level at the present time. Something to grow into I guess.

the fg glider software is amazing, yes the latest 8fgsuper is a 14 channel radio (maybe a software update, which is free off the net)

i have been using futaba radios for the past 20 years and i have converted a lot of guys, they seem to be able to adjust easy enough to the different language.

Thanks for the feed back. I have also used Futaba for many years and would prefer to continue with Futaba.. The 8 FGA 2.4 FASST looks great.

Thanks.. I read the manual for this TX online and it seemed it would do what I wanted.. Just needed confirmation before ordering it.

I'm completly green in gliders. I owns a T8FG (now super). I just received a 3 meter PIK-20 glider with 2 ailerons, 2 flaps, elevetaor, rudder and tow release. I installed a R617Fs receiver. I set the radio on 7ch and created a "glider" profile for 2 AIL, 2 FLAPS... So far so good. The menus shows 4 different setup: take-off, normal, speed and landing. It apperas that you can use 4 different type of setting depending on where you are at in your flight*. I do not use this with my gaz / glow models; this is all new to me.
- To meke it even more mind bogling, I do not have a clue of the deflections required for this glider as I do not have the manual.

1.) Would anyone have a T8FG glilder program for a similar type of glider ? - That could give me a starting point.
2.) Would anyone have the settings for the PIK-20 3 meters glider by any chance ?
Thanks !
