Looks like a new place for flight testing Horizon products, (in So Cal) and it isn't too far from home, this ASK-21 is very cool, my budget can hardly keep up with the constant new releases from Parkzone/Horizon.

Ok for those of you wanting one of these I just checked the dealer site and it looks like the ASK will be in the warehouses on MAY 10th and the Cub will be sooner, March 29th!
As usually happens parts will be a month later :(
Do we need them...No
Do we want them...YES

Like the small carbon cub towing. Good way to get people started in aerotowing. Also could use the Hobbyking Wilga 2000 for a tow plane.
SteveP could get an ASK 21 and set it next to his big one. It would look like it gave birth.

Horizon is really messing with my 40% glider funding, first the Icon A-5 which just came out, now the ASK-21 and the Cub towplane, and a UMX Spitfire and a UMX MIG-15? It starts to add up when I have to have them all.
Larger sailplane are much cheaper in the long run than these little UMX planes. Ok, stay with me on this one.
You can buy a whole lot more ( maybe 50 or 60) UMX planes for the price of one 40% scale sailplane, that's a fact. BUT, you will need to store all those little foamie things.
SO, now add the cost of a new garage, lets say $25-40,000 and then the added electrical expense, taxes, etc. It all adds up. Plus, you can get in your car any time after work and go to the local school yard to fly, THAT takes gas which is not cheap. So ultimately its much more cost effective to have a few Large scale ships than these little UMX planes, plus, you can put the rest of the money in the bank for a nice vacation.
I'm just sayin,

Or, fly right out of the cul d sac in my front yard, I just need a tow pilot for the little Cub. The cost to me is one premium beer (or the beverage of choice for my towpilot).
Yes, but eventually that friend becomes an alcoholic because of all the beer you force feed him, then he wrecks your car and you end up having to bail him out of jail and put him into rehab, that's expensive..
ok, back to the regularly schedule program

Dennis, get the guys who wrote the software for these, to write a flight profile for your towplane! Then you wouldn't need a towpilot:p
