Hi Sandy- just saw this. I wish you the very best in your future endeavors. Thanks so very much for your kindness to me in particular and you and GraupnerUSA's unselfish outreach to sailplane...
Third time's charmed!
Oooops! Forgot about this thread, so sorry! Petr- release? Oh yeah! A 1/6 tow plane for 1/6 sailplanes! Josh- no tundra tires for this is a scale example of airplane as drawn by Paul Matt. I love the...
Erwin, I am using a small peg let into front portion of canopy and the peg is received by a small tube in fuse. The fuse has a magnet each rear corner. Small pieces of music wire in canopy 'hold'...
This is really neat stuff! I need to get into the 21st Century and learn... Thanks! Good looking bird, BTW!
As soon as I get 'unbroke' in finances 'Ime gunnah git me wun uv theez'! (KY accent)
I have fullscale plans of Woodstock.
Sure is nice work!
Hi Selleri and thanks! Fifth time is charmed... the venturi is done! Gawd, this was tough. Just a few pics available to try and get dimensions. The first attempt was forming aluminum tubing to shape....

Details like the panel really make the sailplane come alive! Nice work!
Cool latch! Those X-ray eyes come in handy making that stuff!
Len, okay, okay... you win... uh... you win... braggin' rights! Yeah, that's it! Braggin' rights!
Tom, I've never used Stits. Is it better than Koverall or are they pretty similar. I've read the...

The skid be done! Here's parts for the nose and four fuse 'bumpers' made from auto hose. The white threads were colored with a...
So... if you whack me over the head with 7075 it won't bend but the 6061 will. I have been told I'm hard-headed to 110 Brinell. Seriously, though, this is a great looking bird!!!
Petr- so you are putting the ply shear webs on the bias? That's a good idea! That's a nice long sexy wing!
Very nice! I love 'V' tails! The dash will be a great detail when finished.
I think your shop Buddy is wondering if money for 'treats' being used on this airplane! Nice work. BTW, I'm a BIG raceplane fan!
Hockey stick wood will make great skids for 'old timey' sailplanes! Or are you using that 'new fangled' CF stuff!!!
Selleri- I'm sure it would. Iron down some Solartex on some scrap. Try it with varnish full strength and thinned. I used a foam roller on the fabric and it worked great. However, my fabric was open...
Hi Selleri- the varnish seals the weave in the fabric and brings the overall finish to one level. The demarcation line from fabric to ply almost vanishes! It also gives the bird a uniform finish....
More... more... MORE... ooo-ah-ha-ha-ha-hahhh! The skid got hewn from a plank of Ash. Schmokin' that saw! Yeah baby, what an Ash! After some time on the table saw, band saw, belt sander and hand...
Thanks, Petr and Len! These airplanes have been whoopin' me lately but I'm back at it with a vengeance! That is to 'git-ur-dun'! ;) At the suggestion of an RCScalebuilder member, Nigel Tarvin, I used...
I'm 'unlucky' or 'lucky' (however ya wanna view it!) in that I'm single and no kids. Recently, I told all chicas to lose my numbers and e-m addy- too much drama! Good Lord- they all think I'm...
X2 ! Can't wait to see this one! Ooo la la!
