I'll do that. BTW, I slope on Zion all the time.
John, aerotowing at the sod farm is by electric only as far as I know. I tried Etow but didn't have a big enough motor. I have aerotowed at Chatfield with wet power. I understand they tow up at the...
Nice trailer C.V. I like having opening sides.
Nice job on the gear....Are the formers attached with epoxy of PU?
You should have taken advantage of the drops and sprayed on a light coat of paint at an angle to give it a "raindrop" paint job!
Why did you stop? Run out of clamps? :)
Great job....
And Merry Xmas..
I take two 3 meter gliders up at a time with one of these. One piggy back ond one on tow. Great engine.
And where do you intend to put all the gliders??:)
After wearing out two E-350s I just might have to pop for a Sprinter. Been impressed with those for years.
Good job! I see Nitro has the Habicht back in stock. You might try using coroplast from a sign shop to make a durable, lightweight box.
And in Colorado we have lots of nice ridges but very few nice landing zones! :-( I would love to do large, scale, sloping.
Link....:)
Local area?
Hey Randy,
My purpose built tug can cradle and tow launch...both at the same time....makes life much easier. While I've had a few sucessful r/e tows I would rather not do it.
Now that is good news! Still, I'm going to get one of those small gram scales from Harbor Freight...maybe not much better than eyeballing!
I have one of Dean's early kero systems, about '98-'99 and it is still running, same pump, same battery! Great stuff!
That is a nice tug! Well thought out. Next a cradle for piggybacking so you can take two up at once.
Same thing happened to me one time. Wing was relatively flat when I took off but something happened very high up. I could hardly see it when it started acting funny. Came down to land and it looked...
No luck with Certainly Wood...
I have just started bagging foam wings this fall with the poplar in 1/48th. I have some of it in 1/16th to try but it would be too heavy for you. (I do mainly slope). I will try a few thermal wings...
Have you, (or anyone else), tried using poplar veneer? Like Arthobby does.
Dang you are hard on foam!
Yes, the one he linked to...the 711....don't get it. Icare stuff is good. FlyFly stuff,......I don't know about the new products altho some have been happy.
Dean...
By all means...DON'T GET THAT ONE!!! I ordered 2 of them knowing I would have to sort of re engineer & rebuild but after taking one out of the box I sent them BOTH back! I've had reasonable luck with...
