Thanks for the video. I was flying when the glider went up so I missed it. Certainly served to peak my interest in building a similar model.

Just arrived back in Ottawa after a fabulous return trip.
My truck performed flawlessly, Customs was quick and painless, and the rain held off till we were unpacked.
You are right Steve, so many things to be thankful for.
Thanks to everyone connected for a really great weekend of flying and socializing.
We will be back.
It is almost certain that my Fox was flying.
Great event. Very happy we drove down.
That sounds like a great idea.
My Fox and Ventus are both loaded in the storage compartment of my 5th wheel.
Likely setting out on Wednesday evening to arrive Thursday at the Salem Farms Campground. Looking forward to the trip.
Outdoor flying season finally arrived in Ottawa this weekend. It has been a long wait, but today was gorgeous.
So nice, in fact, that I was able to get some paint on the fuselage of the ASW-22...
Aurele commented at breakfast that I hadn't been keeping this forum up to date on my progress.
Unfortunately, I haven't made much progress.
I did manage to install the canopy (temporarily?? -...
I like your removable servo idea. Very elegant.
Time to start thinking about how to get all the radio gear into the fuselage.
I have a way to go.

Lots of batteries in the front. Two 2.7 Amp-hour NiMH receiver batteries and a pair of...
Thanks Len. I felt a bit bad about tossing the blisters that you sent me.
So, here is what the new servo covers look like.

I am pleased.
Well, I finished the decoration on the bottom of the wings.
Unfortunately, what I thought was normal handling had damaged the plastic blisters that I used. CRAP???!!!

So, I borrowed...
I just put the 7 to 11 November event in my calendar as well.
Let's hope ....
I have had another burst of energy (and the time to take advantage of it).
Out came my trusty sewing machine and the six meters of Arctic Fleece fabric.

Lots of pins and a bit of...
Great photos. Thanks.
I am really glad that the weather cooperated - at least a little - before dumping the snow.
Time to think about putting some decorations on the bottom of the wings.
A while ago, Aurele had given me a strip of matte black vinyl that I thought would be perfect. Thankfully, the Silhouette...
Thanks Tom.
I am using a GWS servo tester to drive the spoilers up and down during assembly. It is quite obvious when they have reached the end of travel. Hopefully it will be as easy when they...
Harm and Stew,
Thanks for your insights. It is a bit comforting to know that I am not the only guy to smoke one!!
They seem to be such a good idea!!
Maybe I will power them with a single,...
Time to install the new one. Here it is in place.

Then, the material that I removed earlier was replaced and held in place while the glue set.

A little bit of filler and...
There is a bit of a difference between the old one,

and the new one.

With the blade cap and blade out of the way, I could free the mechanism from the wing.
First, with a thin cutting wheel on the dremel, I cut through the vinyl, obechi, fibre glass and carbon fibre...
Back to the ASW 22.
My pleasant experience with the Ventus spoiler gave me the confidence to tackle the spoiler on the ASW 22 that I had ruined many weeks ago.
I had just covered the wing and...
Alas, it appears that the weather gods are coming between me and Cumberland.
But, the Ventus is in better shape than a few days ago.
First, the canopy has been replaced, and it looks great.
...
A little bit filling and sanding and the canopy tray is ready for paint.
That will have to wait a bit, however, as I need to repair the canopy on my Ventus so that it can be ready for Cumberland...
