I fly an RCM Elegant electric and a Bubble dancer mostly in my back yard, Carmella is my co-pilot, or like my wife says my wart since shes with me all the time. Prince is my TSA Agent, he wont let anyone near me when I fly.

The best of both worlds.... Golden Age Racers and Scale sailplanes! I have an Ikon N'West Mr. Mulligan kit which is similar in size. I am going to finish an Ikon Rearwin Speedster as a towplane, too, so am looking on with interest!
With the work strech done here's what I've completed. Flaps framed up and supports for hinges added.

Replaced tail wires.
Fab and installed tow release. Havent decided weather to make it removable or not.
Completed flap mod
Planning on adding sheeting above flap to continue top surface of wing. cant decide on a large or small overhang.
Cut the motor box off, and remade tail wire couplings.
Next on list is control linkages, covering wings, and paint.
Isn't the MR. Mulligan is designed to be a racing plane? What is the model designed for? If it is for racing, it might have a thinner airfoil to go fast? Also it might not be designed to handle all the extra landings that a tow plane will experience.
Just wondering out loud....

Covered wings and first coat of polyureathane.I'll fly it for a while to become familiar with its flight characteristics. If I don"t like them it won"t tow.
