Fabed up some stand off"s and want to use an isolation mount, and also a vess balance ring(mounted below prop). Might fab a isolation tube for carb back into fuse. Probley should just build a motor box.

I woke up today with plans to complete engine instlation but have a pinched nerve in my back and my left arm is almost useless. Couple of days and I'll be back to normal, however I did get some done.

Well the arm is not better! my fingers are numb and have no grip strength...Getting old sucks! And I' not that old...51. All I know is that it better heal by the first nice flying weather or I might cut it off in spite.

Anyway did a bunch of work, made my battery packs with 4200Mah Li-ion's, two for radio, one for ignition. Balanced prop and spinner, painted bolts to get them in same place. I really like the Vess balance ring, was able to get the prop perfect side to side and hub. Started to finish up engine instalation, Mounted regulator and ignition, Added wire loom to leads in engine area, and completed wiring. I've used shrink tubing on all servo connections to add a little peice of mind. I also decided to replace the main landing gear, There was only one inch of prop clearence with stab level. So I got a peice of 3/16" aluminum, the orginals are 1/8", for added strength and laid out the new gear with about 4 to 5 inches of clearence. Will cut and bend before this weekend then to make minor mods so they fit. YZZ was right they are anemic so out they go. If all goes well I can start programing radio this weekend. I guess thats all for now.

...so, you are moving right along...what are you going to build the rest of the coming winter building season?

Cleaned up gear and JB welded locknuts to bottom. mounted gear and fabed new suooprt wires. Completed engine install. It looks high and out of porportion but I have 4" - 5" prop clearence. Going to make another cutout in cowl for head cooling and may remove more frame work from inside. Next I'll prep and paint gear. All that is left is balance and programing then I'll put on windows. Its defenitly heavy, I'm guessing 25+ Lbs so I may look at lighting it...maybe.
