    Chilton County AL Aerotowing

Swiss1 helped setup a intro to aerotowing event a couple of weekends ago in Chilton County, AL. The site was a sod farm that a local AMA Student aviation club has use of. All of the flyers in attendance made donations to the student club Mustang Aviation. I am one of the Mentors to the club and we plan to grow this into a great aerotowing event over the next few years using the event to suport the student club. The club as of this year will be open to 10th-12th grade students in the county that attend our Career tech center that I teach at along with the other sponsor. If you would be interested in attending an aerotow in central AL please let me know we are trying to gauge how many people may be able to attend in the future. Anyways here are a few pictures that I took over the weekend, enjoy.

    Jason,

Welcome to the forums and to Aerotowing. Its a slow time on forums right now, everyone is out flying or on vacation. I'm sure you will get some response soon.
Jeremy and Ben are excellent people, you are fortunate to be near those guys. I think what you guys are doing is great for the hobby. Supporting local clubs and building aerotowing events. Its certain to be a home run.

We are currently in Canada at an aerotow that is in its second year, the attendance is very good and the guys running it are doing a first class job. Please keep everyone here informed and let us follow you through your journey.

Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help promote or assist you guys

Great times and flying in peach country!
Thanks to Jason, Jeremy and all for a great start to central Alabama towing. I look forward to the next event. BTW, Len, you should put one of the Alabama events on your bucket list. Talledega is, after all, the "home" of NASCAR. Come to think of it, I think something is going on at Talledega around the time of the Huntsville aerotow in October. Just sayin'........

Says the guy with the portable A/C unit at the field!
Vintage wood is the BEST! But....every now and then a plastic missile can be quite enjoyable!
