    12' Telemaster Electric Tow Plane

Last October (2010), IFlyTailies (aka Schleppmeister and Alex) visited Cumberland and brought his 12' Telemaster electric tow plane. I will let him brag about it but we had a great time watching it work.

Here it is visiting with its little brothers (Telemaster 40 to the left and Sr. Telemaster to the right):

By the way, all of these Telemasters are working tow planes (note the collection of towlines in the grass)!

Hobby Lobby has been having all of their Telemaster kits redesigned and the 12' Telemaster is the last one to be completed. Their website says it should be available very soon. The new Telemaster 40 kit came out in late 2011 and the Sr. Telemaster kit about mid 2012.

Seems that Hobby Lobby made a bet on a resurgence of interest in kit building and so far it looks like they have been correct.

I'm sure you can find a kit online in the classifieds if you were so inclined, Its a massive plane!! Not sure if that size tele is as good a tug as some of the other choices.. It really wants to FLOAT

It's a great plane for"normal" flying and you get a lot of plane for your $$. At faster tows it starts oscillating if you are not easy on the elevator and use lots of expo.
