Do you have any information regarding CG, ailerons, flaps, elevator upper and lower limits?

    Thank you.

    Linou,
Here is a link to the Antares info on the site under CG and Control throw Database, http://www.rcaerotowing.com/5834-baudis-models.html
It has all the information listed there.

When you get a chance, spend some time looking around the main Website, www.rcAerotowing.com
You will find all sorts of good information there.

    Hope this helps

Alessandro. I would welcome any recommendations you have on stet-up and performance. How did you do in the GPS competition?
The main problem I continue to see is hooking up the elevator servo every time you put it together. What fitting did you use there?

Hi Len, in the GPS I did very good even if it was my first year with that kind of competition. Anyway I got 2nd, 3thd and at the World Cup in Spain I got 5th place on the Open Class ( we compete with 1/2.5 scale glider) and I got 7th on 1/3 scale. I did also a personal record with 13 laps at he average speed of 84 km/h !! On the speed round ( one lap at maximum speed ) I got 118 km/h average speed.
Back to the glider setting. Following some suggestion more on flying side.
-during towing I mixed little flaps down with tow release, why ?...Flaps down ( 3°-5° ) because in this way the tow rope is all the time under tension and the glider stay all the time higher than the tow plane. Mixer flaps and tow release: when you release automatically the flaps came back to neutral position. You never forget flaps down.
    - flying: I just used flaps and all ailerons little down for thermalling. Thermal phase.
    - I mixed flaps with elevator. : elevator up flaps little down. This setting is helping a lot in thermalling. Try it to believe !!
-landing setting: full flaps down ( 80 ° ), ailerons up ( not too much- 8°-10° ) compensation with elevator down to put the nose down..Whit this setting you will e able to land in a very short runway and a very low speed. The important is to have the nose down during all the descent.
-unfortunatly I cann't say you where the CG was placed..... I destroyed the Antares last september during the last GPS competition in Ozzano ( italy). I lost it when I was at 700 mt high and I found it in a field 1km far away completely destroyed !!. With the data logger I saw the crash speed on the field : 260 km/h !! As you can imagine I didn't save anything . Anyway this is the risk during competition. Now I'm waiting for 1/3 Arcus from H Model.
For the elevator I used a clips with security......clips on the rudder arm and uniball with security on the servo horn. Hope I can be clear enough and sorry for my english...
Anyway you will enjoy a lot the Antares. It's a faboulous glider with the top performance you can find on the market at the moment . Only Arcus ( H Model ) is a little bit forward in term of performance but at the end a lot is depending from " fingers " !!!.
Feel free to ask me others infos about Antares.
    Ciao
    Ale

    Hi Guys,

Just trying to get My antares sorted for this weekend.

Did anyone find the standard throws for ailerons, flaps and elevator?

I have looked at the information and unless I am missing something, everything else is there except the throws.

    Cheers
    Henryk
