This thread will be for flying at the Propbusters Field In Salem CT,
Come out and join us any time we are there.
Fly yesterday ( Sept 3rd )
Very nice weather, although lift was somewhat vacant from the area. I did finally get a chance to really fly the Arcus and as expected, its a dream to fly. The thin wing and radical lines make this plane move across the sky with ease like a thoroughbred. It only took a couple flights to get all the mixes set for spoilers and flaps in landing mode.
Its a true beauty and I really like the way it flies.
Steve P was there bright and early with his fleet. Bringing out the Duo Discus and his magnificent ASK 18.
Towing duties were handled by Steve's Mighty Pegasus, at the skilled command of resident tow pilot Rob Larsen.
Don Chamberlain also showed up and preceded to fly the paint off his Velenta Fox all day.
Conio with his hall Cherokee had an incident and lost that ship. Its a shame such a beautiful plane is now part of the past. I guess its now time for another, bigger Cherokee.
Thanks to all for coming. It's nice to fly so close to home for a change. Those 5-7-8-17 hour drives are hard on the back and the fuel budget. ( did I actually say the word budget?)
