    Len,
The 2 bars that go across the middle of the cockpit.....are they "structural" or just there to hold the backseat instruments in place? My Duo fuse canopy frame is "bowed" out at the middle and I either have to "spread" the fuse or "squeeze" the canopy frame so I can get it to fit right.
Vintage wood is the BEST! But....every now and then a plastic missile can be quite enjoyable!

Tom, I'll have to take a close look in the AM, I believe its a non structural member. As a matter of fact, I'm quite sure its non structural. If you needed to trim yours to get the parts fit, I would not hesitate.

Like Tom said yes. The linkages for the elevator in this plane are internal also. It makes for a very clean setup.

Work continues on the Duo when I get a few minutes here and there. The tow release is complete as well as the retract servo installation. My buddy Rob made me up a nice aluminum servo tray to mount the JR 8711 servo on and the setup is perfect.
The Power Box is mounted and the rudder servo and cables are complete.
Now I need to run all the servos to the Powebox, mount batteries and switches and put some connectors on the wings and we should be pretty close.

    Oh yeah, brake servo too.

Inching closer to completion. I was able to get into the shop today and complete a few more items on the list. The wiring is completed for the entire plane. All the connectors are on and everything is labeled. Next was to plug everything into the Powerbox and program the points. This takes a lot of time to get right. One at a time so you can be certain nothing is binding and burning. Once that was done, I started the housekeeping, getting all the wires run through bulkheads, ( grommets in the holes first ) and wire tied into place where needed.
I assembled the plane in the shop to make sure everything was happy, Its sure nice to see it assembled. Its pretty big!

What left now is a little more programing, Servo covers, attaching receivers and remotes, battery hold down, gap seals and Balance. Of course, attache the canopy and seat the pilots will be last.
I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and this time, its not a train.
