Duane, Let me know what you find out. i am up in Ok but will travel to fly !
Jerry
Hi Jerry, will do, thanks to Len popping in on a build thread about the ECOM Wilga I was sharing with another guy up in Sumner, Wa. I got bit by the aerotow thing and havent even tried it yet. BTW Len, thanks for renewing my sailplane intrest ! I've got an unbuilt electric Baracuda in the store room and drug it out the other day to see if I could engineer a release in the nose for a first time aerotow sailplane, it looks doable so I'm going to give it a shot. I ordered a release for the Wilga and two more different sailplane releases so we'll see where this goes. Saw the Aerosente Hall Cherokee, that ones fixin to be on the build table very soon, thanks Len, see a pattern here ? And here's a link to the Wilga thread if anyone's intrested...

I don't know if you saw this on the main Website. http://www.rcaerotowing.com/1558-tow-releases.html
It shows a whole bunch of tow releases, all sorts of shapes and styles.

Len, I spoke with Richard King on the phone yesterday, he was super nice and even invited me to come to Dallas to see some aerotowing. I'm sure he and I will be doing some flying here in Houston this summer.
My releases came in today so on my next days off I'll be installing the release on my Wilga. I've cut out a reinforcing bulkhead already so it shouldn't take too long to get it rigged out. The weather here in Houston isn't cooperating for the maiden on the Wilga so I've got plenty of time to tweek !
Thanks for all the help !
Duane
Dale is really nice. I get to fly with him every year at the JR Aerotow in IL. Thats one you should plan to attend. Its a bast. Beginner or expert.
