    SB-9 1/3rd Scale

Hi everybody, I'm nearly finishing the SB 9 1/3 scale. Anybody is already flying with this glider ? I€ just need infos about setting etcc. Moreover I'm not able to find a white transparent canopy. What I've is green/blue fumè canopy. It's not matching with a scale reproduction....Can somebody advise me where I can find a white one?.. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Alessandro

    p.s.: sorry for my english....

    Alessandro,

You are in the right place! I just did some looking around on the Internet about your glider as I am also building a Akaflieg Braunschweig sailplane (the SB-11). I'm sure you have already visited their site for information and details about the original glider.

Is this the glider you are building?

Also, please don't apologize for speaking or writing in English. We all speak the same "gliding language" that doesn't require proper grammar, spelling or punctuation.

    Hi Alessandro,
Nice glider. Did you scratch build the glider? With regards to the canopy, they are always a problem. If you can post some pictures of the canopy you have, maybe someone here can recommend something close.
I'd love to hear more about how you built the plane,
    Where do you live?

Thanks for posting, and your English is fine, actually better than some of US!!!!!

It's not complicated, bigger is better.

Hi Len... this is my " baby"... The fuselage is made from EISMAN ( Germany) and the wings are home made by my friend. They are on foam and glass. Profil Eppler 203- 205.
At the moment I'm finishing all the comnnections between servo and ailerons, flaps, etcc. I think in a couple of months I'll ready to fly.

Hi Mike....my SB 9 is 1/3 scale 7.30 mt wingspan.
Regarding the canopy thanks for your help. I really appreciate. Just today I found at Moeller Modellbau in Germany a canopy awailable. So the problem is solved.

    Ale,

Your sailplane is gorgeous! Why have you been hiding this?????

A 21 meter glider in 1971 was a SERIOUS glider! Can't wait to see photos of this girl in the air,
