rebuilding a 45% edge 540 and towplane conversion

Hi guys quite some years back I built what was once a gorgous 45% Edge 540 from Columbo Anderson. The aircraft is designed buy Paul Derou and was a gem to fly, unfortunately after it's first flight my mate fell on it after tripping over in the shed...... BUGGER! So after a few phone calls and a trip to Sale I brought home "BULLY" for a rebuild and tow hook fitout to tow my half scale ASW 22.

Well with the glue having dried from last night tonight I set about cutting out the damaged areas where foam is missing and cut some fresh high density foam making allowance for 2mm balsa sheet. I find the easiest way is on the bandsaw to rough cut and then sand to shape on a sic sander. So with the foam being sorted on one side of the fuse the next step was to remove the sheeting either side of the brake while leaving the foam underneath to allow some fresh balsa sheet to be dovetailed back into the structure and return strength to the strcture, the sheeting was glued back in with white glue and left over night to set.

Roger that. I'd probably have a 75% scale ASW-22 build going on Keep up the great work.
